Mohammad Abualnadi #IsRed

Mohammad Abualnadi was officially announced today as the Red Giants' latest defender and left winger to compete in the Malaysian League for the 2024/2025 season, just before the transfer window deadline.

The Jordanian-American player started his career with Kansas Academy when he was 18 years old. He was in America for five seasons playing in the US Open Cup with Sporting Kansas City's main squad, MLS Next Pro and USL Championship with Sporting Kansas City II. He played in 11 games as a youth player before receiving an offer to fly to Jordan with Al-Hussein SC.

The player born in 2001 is also a Jordanian national player who has played with the under-23 squad in the West Asian Football Federation U23 Championship (four appearances, two goals), the AFC Asian Cup U23 Qualifying Round (three appearances and one goal) and the AFC U23 Championship .

The 2024 season was a stepping stone for the 185cm tall player when he received a National call-up to join a training camp in July before finally making his first appearance with Jordan's main squad against North Korea in an international friendly on the 23rd of August. He had also been listed in two matches of the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualification campaign against Kuwait and Palestine recently.

Donning the number 3 Selangor FC jersey for the 2024/25 season, Abualnadi wants to give his best to achieve the club's goals for the fans together.

"Joining Selangor FC is an incredibly exciting moment for me. The club’s storied history and passionate fanbase have always inspired me, and now I’m honoured to be part of this team. When the opportunity came through to my agent, I immediately felt that this was the right place for me.”

“I am committed to giving my best for the team. I understand the expectations that come with this jersey and am ready to support my teammates in achieving our goals. I look forward to feeling the energy of our passionate supporters and determined to make them proud as we strive for success this season."

The head coach of Selangor FC, Nidzam Jamil, expressed his confidence on the addition of the player playing on the left side of the team, "As a coach, I believe that he will be a valuable asset for the team as a defender and winger on the left side. I also see his potential to strengthen the dynamics of the defensive line, especially in the ACL Two 2024/25 campaign."

Selangor FC welcomes Abualnadi. Hopefully, he can strengthen the Red Giants defensive and offensive  line on the left side for the 2024/25 Malaysian League season and the ACL Two 2024/25 campaign. #AbualnadiIsRed
